Our purpose
Factoring the Human aims to increase awareness of Human Factors and the influence upon Human Performance in a one-stop, easy to understand format. By providing a platform where articles can be published, discussions can be held, professionals can collaborate, and in time, for events and webinars to be promoted, the horizon and value of the Human Factors and Performance community can be broadened.
About
My name is Jordan, and I'm an accredited, UK based Human Factors Specialist. Having graduated with a Distinction from an MSc in Human Factors in Aviation, and an undergraduate BA (Hons) in Education with modules in the social sciences, I worked as a Human Factors Specialist for a European low-cost carrier, before moving to work as a Human Factors Specialist for the national flag carrier airline.
With specialist experience and interest in Safety Culture, Human Factors within Investigations, Error Prediction and Change Management, Cognitive Psychology, Mental Health and Wellbeing and Training Design and Delivery and Safety Promotion, I felt that there was much to be gained from sharing what I've learned from Human Factors and just how much it can really influence Human Performance, to a wider audience. Whether it be just for interest, or to understand how it could improve the safety or operational performance of your organisation, I'm hoping that there's something for everyone.
Please get in touch to let me know your thoughts, or to say hi! I look forward to connecting with you all through the wonderful world of Human Factors.
