Assumption is a belief that is taken for granted, or taken to be true without sufficient exploration, evidence, or explanation. Now for Ross and Rachel, it led to Ross turning up to an airport at the least 32 miles away from his intended destination, for me it’s led to turning up at the wrong Heathrow terminal for my flight (don’t ask – sore subject), but in safety, and safety management, assumptions can be really problematic.
